Philosophy
At the Pacifica Co-op, we offer an age appropriate, hands-on program which focuses and meets the individual needs of the whole child and enhances their cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development through play and discovery of the world around them.
We believe that together, as parents and staff, we can enhance the growth, development and self-esteem of each child, all the while promoting a deeper understanding and respect of each child’s unique qualities. Our main goal is to create a loving, nurturing, supportive environment for our students and families to learn, grow, and empower one another.

Christina Jackson
Christina has been working with children since she was one herself! From babysitting for family to starting her own (with a stop in pediatric dentistry along the way!), Christina knew she had found her future when she and her husband enrolled their daughter at PCNS.
She was a frequent fill in for moms and teachers even after her daughter left for kindergarten, and while also providing childcare for school families, Christina obtained her Early Childhood Education credentials from Skyline College. We’ve been happy to have her for over five years!
Connie Alvarez
Connie loves watching children learn and grow and to help guide them in that journey as they discover the world. Her love for working with children began when she was just 12 years old, when she realized how much she enjoyed babysitting her younger cousins. Years later, while obtaining her B.A. in Public Health at UC Irvine, she had the opportunity to volunteer at a preschool and decided to change course and follow her passion for teaching. She received her A.S. in Early Childhood Education from Skyline College and is pursuing her love of teaching as the newest member of the PCNS team.
Facilities
Our school is housed on a large and versatile playground including a brand new play structure, large area for sand play, swings, and an organic, edible garden. Our indoor space includes distinct areas for activities like circle time, arts and crafts, games, and unstructured play, and is housed in a historic quonset hut.
